Filling a Gap
Born in San Antonio, Dr. Andrew Richardson spent his childhood on the move as a military kid. He experienced many places but found his home in Alabama with a community he loved. He saw a need for pediatric dentistry with a touch of personal care, a sprinkle of clinical expertise, and a whole lot of fun. Coming into Seagrass Smiles, he created a place where kids feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for. He has a knack for turning nervous patients into confident ones and bringing the fun and laughter to each visit.
Specialized Expertise
Dr. Richardson graduated from Auburn University with his undergraduate degree before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Completing his pediatric dental residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, he received specialized training in caring for kids with a full spectrum of needs.
Home Life
When he isn’t giving high-fives to kids in the office, Dr. Richardson is home in Fairhope with his wife (Ali), their son (Silas), their daughter (Winnie), and their fur-children (Carl, Toby, and Piglet). They spend their family time going on adventures, cheering on the Auburn Tigers, and living full lives.
Dr. Maureen Baldy
From the Battlefield
to the Dental Field
Before she was caring for little smiles, Dr. Maureen Baldy was serving our country. She spent twenty years in the U.S. Army. Seven years of active duty and thirteen years in the Army Reserve, including a tour in Iraq. That deep dedication and compassion for others followed her into pediatric dentistry. She loves serving patients of all ages and needs with patience, warmth, and tons of fun.
Advanced Education
Dr. Baldy graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Alabama. Continuing her path to dentistry, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. She completed a surgical general dentistry residency at Fort Benning, GA, and specialized pediatric dental training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. With a focus on developing dentition, her area of expertise was researching the effect of chemotherapy on children’s teeth.
Home Life
Outside the office, Dr. Baldy loves spending time with her husband, former Mobile City Councilman John Williams, and their two wonderful sons, John Paul and Luke.
